Garrisons Hub & Free Play Time

There is now a Hub on Wowhead for all your garrisons information .. so if you need to know something about garrisons, that is the place to be!

Their database includes:

• Buildings: browse buildings by image, and see all related items, achievements, quests, and more on building pages as well as their costs and work order totals
• Followers: browse Alliance and Horde versions of followers, filter by their source, and view them in the 3D modelviewer.
• Follower Abilities: Search for abilities that offer mission or profession buffs, or counter a particular type of mission threat.
• Missions: Look up all the missions and their rewards, and see what followers counter which threats using the calculator option on each individual mission page.

All of the above types of data also come with Wowhead tooltips!

 

 

Following the problems that occurred on expansion launch day, it has been announced that everyone who had an active account on Friday 14th November will be receiving 5 days free game time.

An active account means that, on a normal day, if you had wanted to, you could have logged into WoW.  This covers rolling subscriptions, game card credits, one off payments, etc.  You should be able to tell if you had an active account that day, and also you will be able to track when the credit is added to your account, by logging into your Battlenet account, clicking on the relevant WoW account and chosing "view account history".

Has yours shown up because there is nothing showing on my account...realise it is probably more important for them to fix the ongoing issues but they probably should have given an ETA for seeing this appear on your account.

No, it isn't showing in my account yet.  I've had a quick look on the Blizzard forums and I've not seen anything about it yet .. other than a "green" stating that it won't be added to everyone's accounts at once, but in a gradual way.

I do have some credits on my account from the time a few months back when I couldn't get into a lot of realms for a couple of weeks, and all they did then was place a special code for extra time tagged onto the end of my current active payment.  I assume they'll do the same this time.

Blizzard have put a message up about the free game time:

The 5 days of free game time mentioned in the letter from J. Allen Brack is on its way out. As a reminder this is for players in the Americas, Oceania, and Europe who had active subscriptions as of Friday, November 14. We expect the process to take a full day to apply to all accounts that met the requirement.

I've just checked my account and it is showing (the date on there is the date that my next payment was due .. I'm guessing that my next payment now will be 5 days later)

Did you know that once you upgrade your garrison to level 3, there is a tower next to your mines. At the top of that tower is a portal to Ashran! (according to an article on the Mr Robot site)

 Yes!!  I discovered that yesterday .. I was well chuffed :-)  Not sure why they felt the urge to stick it right on the roof of the tower, in a snow storm, when they had an entire building just below them that they could have used :P
