Molten Core LFR & Guild Achievements

Despite losing quite a few sign-ups to this event (we started off with 20 signed and 9 wanting to go, but being on standby, to having less than a full 20 signed up .. and of those several didn't turn up) we had a good and (fairly) smooth run .. as pointed out by one or two very happy puggers we picked up along the way

Congratulations to everyone who got their mounts, achievements and new hats, and thank you for attending and making the evening an enjoyable one.

Can I please stress that events involving raid-sized groups of people are difficult enough to organise, manage and monitor, without people (a) failing to read the requirements and (b) not turning up.

Please do:

• ensure that you read the event description, including any ilevel requirements .. and that you only sign up if you meet those requirements
• ensure you know what time the event is starting, and turn up ready to go at that time
• try to ensure that you sign up with the character you wish to take.  If there is an alternative character you can take (especially if it is a tank or healer) please let us know.

The guild has also recently gained the above achievement meaning that we can now buy guild banners from the guild vendor and display them in our Garrisons:

I really had a lot of fun last night, despite not being able to talk (a few moments I really had to steer clear from the push-to-talk button, because I was so tempted so join in!). I didn't get the pet, sadly, but it's cageable - so if all else fails, I can at least scrape the gold together and buy it. Or try to, anyway. Buggers will probably be way overpriced.

Anyway, it'd be really nice if there could be another run before it ends. I know it's a hassle to organise, but it'd give people who missed out last night another go at the mount/helm/achievement/pet. Or let people bring alts for the helm (or the pet... *cough*). Kath told me Sharaj had been thinking about it, but they weren't sure it'd happen; I'm already glad they haven't completely turned down the idea. ^_^

I just want to say that last night's raid was very enjoyable and manged to make a depressing raid zone almost fun. Good raid leading all round.

Cool .. I wouldn't mind getting in there again too ... although I'd really like to get in with a different character .. PE now has two identical burning hats!

Perhaps we can try and organise something between Christmas and New Year .. or just into the New Year .. although bear in mind the Anniversary event finishes fairly soon into January.

At the end of the day it is LFR, so we should be able to pick up extra numbers to fill the ranks .. it just seems easier when we have more of "us" there than random strangers :-)

It was a lot of fun indeed. Friendly chatter on TS all the time, in raid and lots of laughs. I made a couple noob tank mistakes, but no one seemed to mind (much) thankfully :)

I had a real blast leading the raid as tactician again. Brings back so many fond memories of Vanilla MC raiding. Thanks to everyone who attended (and listened!) to whatever this DW nuub had to say :D

I think the main problem with Molten Core was simply the aggro range .. some of those patrols came from miles!  Another was to do with situational awareness .. because the place had some rather large areas, it needed people to be aware at all times where they were compared to the majority of the raid.

But yes .. really enjoyed it.  I think a few wouldn't mind getting in again .. I'm trying to level my hunter in time to get her in next time.  Even if not as many people fancy it, at least we can pug the rest and, as long as there are a decent number of us, we should be able to run through fairly quickly.
