
Can all raiders please remember to treat events with respect:
- DO sign with as much notice as possible when you're able to attend an event.
- DO NOT sign as definite unless you know FOR CERTAIN that you will be able to attend, for the full duration of the event.
- If you are not signed, or signed as tentative, and then discover you are DEFINITELY able to attend, please ensure your sign-up indicates as much on the event.
- If you find you are unable to attend the event, after having signed definite, please let me know. You can do this through numerous means:
- Via our Facebook page
- Via this website .. either on the forum post related to the event, via a PM to myself/event leader or via the Shout Box
- Via in game mail - sent to the raid organiser.
- Via in game message - leave a message with other guild members, to pass it along.
- Via the Armories app - "connect" to guild chat and pass a message on.
Please bear in mind that events take a lot of effort to organise and run (despite appearances!) - for example the event tonight, the last time I checked the event was 2-3 hours before the event was due to happen. At that point there were only 8 people signed - 2 healers, 2 tanks, 2 ranged, 2 melee.
When I logged in to start organising the event, we were down to 7 (a healer missing), but had acquired 4-5 sign-ups. Which involved trying to rearrange for healers. Then both a dps and a tank failed to turn up at all, without notice .. which involved more rearranging.
Please do be considerate of the time and effort, and stress, involved in organising and running these events. I'm not wanting to put people off signing up, and I know we had some problems tonight with dodgy connections, etc, which can't be helped .. and sometimes stuff just happens .. but please try to keep last minute "stuff" from happening too often .. for the sake of my liver!
