re: Noblegarden

Noblegarden in-game holiday has started, with various achievements, chocolate and goodies associated with it.  There doesn't appear to be anything new this year - although there is still the mount and pet, etc, from previous years (and various clothes to add to the forthcoming wardrobe, perhaps?)

You can read all about it on wowhead.

Wowhead have also started a competition where you can win various goodies .. head over to their competition page for more information.

re: Noblegarden

  1. Spent most of Monday collecting eggs. Got most of the stuff required from them, although I did buy the mount with eggs. Had enough dresses to give Caladan a spare one I had lying around in my bags

re: Noblegarden

Yeah, with Kensos help I was able to get the meta-achievement yesterday. So once again, thanks for that! It did take a good few hours to get all the required achievements though. I felt like a creep following a female dwarf (those are rare!) in Wetlands while waiting for the spring flowers item to go off cooldown and then spent some 20-30 minutes camping over Goldshire to get the rest of the Alliance races for Shake Your Bunny-Maker. Got a few odd looks from the Alliance players there.

I found a useful macro to help determine the race and gender of your target:

/run local genderTable = { "Unknown", "Male", "Female" }; DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage('Target is ' .. genderTable[UnitSex("target")] .. ' ' .. UnitRace("target") ..'.');

Select the target and then press this macro and it will pop the info in your chat window. Male and female gnomes and dwarves in full gear can sometimes be hard to distinguish from one another, so at least I found this useful on occasion. Most likely there's an in-game way of determining the gende, but I am too thick-headed to know it.

re: Noblegarden

Haha .. I can just imagine you stalking gnomes and dwarves - lifting up skirts to try to work out gender :p  That achievement was a lot easier to get when both factions shared a hub - like in Dalaran.

re: Noblegarden

Wait... Sneaking up on someone and lifting their skirt isn't the normal way of finding out the gender?  Hmm... I might have to do some thinking.

re: Noblegarden

Yea finding a female dwarf is REALLY difficult, they look the same as the men. Took me about hour and a half to find one, eventually found one in the middle of arathi highlands. Even more difficult for me as I have no clue where i'm going.

I have also noticed that I have a slight ocd problem, when it comes to this game. I absolutely had to finish all the noblegarden achivi's yesterday, if i'm questing in a zone, I have to get the associated quest/exploration achivi. Possibly worst of all though, is I absolutely cannot go past a little yellow dot on my map, without mining it, I could be in trouble :P
