re: Raid Commencement
on 10-01-2011 11:15
We are getting close now to the point where hopefully enough members of the guild are ready to start raiding again. I have therefore added an entry to the calendar for the 27th January with the hope that we will have enough people at that time able to mount a raid.
Please DO NOT sign to that until the character(s) you wish to take are at least ilevel 340 and, for DPS classes are able to get an average of 10,000 dps. Bearing mind this dps is recommended for a 10 man group that includes 2 healers, should we decide we need three healers, that dps will need to go up to reflect this.
Below is a quote from wowinsider, which is also in the raiding forums under Baradin Hold:
There aren't great benchmarks for "raid ready" in Cataclysm, but there are few standards based off Baradin Hold. You should expect your tank to have at least 150,000 or 160,000 hit points and your damage dealers should be putting out an average of at least 10,000 damage per second. Healers are tougher to rate this way because of the huge differences in healing in Cataclysm. It's tempting to ask your raiders to be in an average of item level 340 gear, or something like that. However, that's perilously close to the ongoing gear score argument. Let's just say that if your team can handle heroics without much trouble, and you can down Argaloth, then it's time to start looking at the other raids.
If you are unable to make that specific raid date/time, but are willing to raid on another day/time AND your character fills the requirements, please sign up as "tentative" - that way we can get a rough idea of how many people we actually have at raid ready status.
To discuss Baradin Hold and see more about it, please either use the Boss Strats widget to the right of the page, or visit the forums.
