New MoP Mount

Its very pretty but i dont think its pretty enough to bring me back. On another note - you sure would get seasick riding on the back of that.

Yeah ... I did think that about the seasickness myself :P It does look a bit like the new mount you can buy from the Blizzard store - similar model, just wingless ... in fact that's two modes of flying transport I've seen in MoP, and neither seems to have any way of staying up in the air!

They are pretty and very fitting with the Far Eastern aesthetic that MoP will be going for.

But yes, I am somewhat inclined to think the motion of them could be a little nausea inducing. I get a queasy feeling sometime from the bouncy-bouncy nature of the Trolls on their Raptor mounts so the wavy design of these wind serpents may be a little too much for me!

Still, nice to see a new type of mount available in-game. I like the drake mounts but at this point in time they're basically all re-skins.

Maybe these mounts have a Positive-Mental-Attitude buff that keeps them in the air?

On a speciously related note, my rogue has the Spirit of the Competition pet from the 2008 Olympic event. I wonder if there'll be a new pet or tabard or something for 2012? Perhaps some sort of rioting ne'erdowell or a Beefeater teddy bear or a rioting Beefeater ne'erdowell teddy bear!

Moreover... I've been playing WoW that long? Bloody hell....

There has been talk as well of the Yak being the Panda racial mount - but apparently that has recently been denied by Blizzard. It has since been hinted it might be a rep reward.

The Yaks in game look VERY cute



Oh .. and my characters very rarely ride any form of raptor for exactly that reason kath ... makes me feel a bit seasick :P ... plus ... that must really hurt their bottoms!

The GFX definitely seem to be getting a bit of a boost in the new XPac. Has that been confirmed or are my eyes deceiving me?

They have confirmed that they have been "tweaking" the graphics a bit. I don't know if the graphics minimum requirements are going up, but they have certainly done more with them.
