Mists of Pandaria - Pet Battles

For some, one of the most interesting parts of the new expansion is the Pet Battles. This has apparently just been patched into the beta, so if you want to try it out, go load it up!

Pet battles is awesome!! I love it...but how on earth am I going to get anything else done when I am now obsessed with finding little green feet on my mini map? First it was yellow dots and now green feet, Blizzard you are feeding my addictive tendencies!

whatever happened to Wowville? I was quite looking forward to tending my farm, did that die?

Yup, its still slated to be in, but it hasn't been put into the beta yet. From what I remember (which could be completely wrong!), its an end game (level 90) thing that develops after doing a bunch of dailies for a certain faction.

Blizzard have just announced that not all pets will be tradeable. Now, any pet caught "in the wild" can't be - only those bought from vendors, gained from achievements or holiday bosses, for example, can be traded.

We just finished a pass making all pets that are caught via pet battles in the world non-tradeable. This means these pets cannot be put in cages for trading or posting on the AH. We felt that the option to buy these pets on the AH would take away from the exploration/collection gameplay of the system.

This could always change in a future patch, but this is how it will go out with MoP. You should see the change in our next build.
