re: Preparation for Raiding in Mists

Forum Image

It seems as if we just about have a raid team organised - just waiting for one probable member to confirm, and for a couple more volunteers to help out so that we have some "wiggle room".

Please add your name to the forum post above if you want to raid with us, even if you're not quite ready, stating how close to ready you are and what role(s) you'd be able to fill (ie, tank, healer, dps).

I think we're getting pretty close now to venturing in to the first Normal raid as a guild group - several members have been into LFR at least once, indicating their gear is close.

I therefore want to take the time to confirm my current ideas for raiding in Mists.

Our raiding seemed to work successfully in the last expansion, so generally I'd like to stick with that as far as times and days go. Which means that, at least to start with, we will be continuing with a start time of 9.30pm Server Time (for those who are in the UK and similar time-zone, that would be 8.30pm). We will also be continuing to organise our first raid of the week on a Wednesday evening. The follow-up raid, initially, would be organised for a Friday at the same start time, although that will be flexible depending on real-life commitments of raiders. Depending on how many raids we want to do a week we can also organise a further raid later in the week/early the next week (I believe back in Wrath we often raided Wednesday, Friday AND Saturday).

Currently the raider section of the vault has been given over to help guild members level their Pandarian Cooking skills. I'm hoping that at some point in the near future we may have some raid members who are able to create the highest level banquet (which requires 600 cooking skill in all "Ways" followed by some quest completions). If not, we shall simply have to either provide our own individual snacks of choice, or compromise by using the individual "Way" banquets. Please help by donating any Pandarian foodstuffs that you don't require (or don't have space for!) and feel free to withdraw any that you need. Please try to be considerate though and make the effort to donate as much as you take out. It doesn't have to be the same day, but bearing in mind the vast quantities required for various recipes, it would be unfair for someone to only take out.

At some point in the future, this section of the vault will be converted back to a raider only section, providing flasks, potions, etc, for raids - however, I will give plenty of notice prior to doing this.

I have put up a poll (above this News section on the main Home page) asking for your raid-readiness - please vote!

Please make the effort to have at least the ilevel required to enter LFR, ideally a few points higher, be fully gemmed and enchanted up and, ideally, have some experience in LFR. Please ensure you are aware of the guild rules with regard to raiding conduct, requirements and loot rolls.
