As you may have heard, Blizzard are currently in the process of "connecting" realms together, in order to increase the population on those respective realms.
Connected realms have the advantage of being "virtually" connected to other realms, meaning that players from those realms are able to interact as if they were on the same realm .. they can join guilds, join groups, trade and use the Auction House as if they were actually there. However, because it is only a virtual connection, people with the same character names, or guild names, are not forced to change them to make them unique ... anyone from a different physical realm to yours will simply have a small asterisk next to their name.
Blizzard have been steadily working through US realms to connect together, and they have now started on EU realms.
They have so far given a fairly small list of EU realms to be connected, and Lightbringer is not on that list .. however, judging by the population on those realms that are being connected, we think there is a very high possibility that we will get "connected" to another realm.
If this does happen, then (a) we have a larger pool of people looking for guilds and (b) your maximum character slots for Lightbringer suddenly (at least) doubles.
As far as the latter is concerned, this is because, once we know which realm(s) we are to be connected with (assuming we are), then people are able to make characters on that other realm, yet still interact with everyone on Lightbringer as if they were actually there.
Because I know that a lot of us have a severe case of altitus (can't help ourselves levelling yet another character!), and because we thought it would be nice to have somewhere that we could all level alliance characters (if so desired) with a group of people we already know, we have decided to set up an alliance version of Dark Wolves.
This alliance guild, called Light Wolves, is based on Lightbringer (alliance side, obviously), and if you wish to join now, you will need to have an alliance character on Lightbringer. If you don't have any slots available at the moment, then you can wait until the realm is connected to another, at which point you can make a character on the additional realm, and then get an invite.
Hunterkillah/Mooh has kindly volunteered to run the new guild for us.
If you wish to join, simply type /who Light Wolves to get a list of who is online at that time, and whisper them with your main horde character name to get an invite into the guild.
Remember that, if you roll a monk, you will be unable to join until you have reached approximately level 10, when you go through the quest to choose which faction to be.
