Lightbringer to be Connected
Good news everybody ... we've fixed the broken ... erm ... realm ...!! No .. Kad and I still can't get online, but it has been announced that Lightbringer is getting Connected!!
If anyone would like to check it out, the realm we are getting Connected to (not next week, but hopefully the week after) is Mazrigos. Unfortunately that is also currently on the list of realms I can't get into!
Looking at realmpop info, it appears Mazrigos is slightly smaller than Lightbringer (although that's based on number of characters, not number of active characters .. they may have more activity than us) .. there is therefore the possibility that we might actually end up being Connected to more than one realm.
Please bear in mind that you should prepare for a few problems on and just after connection .. it is worth while ensuring that you don't have anything sitting in mailboxes, for example. Unfortunately, I've heard that getting Connected also clears any raid lockouts.
More news as I get it.
haha nice one Reapz! I'll have to check it out later .. Kad seems to think that we might be back in on Lightbringer (and Mazrigos) so I can check out the active population a bit. From what I've seen though, I think it is smaller than us.
At the very least, it will give us all the opportunity to level some alliance toons in Light Wolves :p
As of 4:30pm UK time .. which certainly isn't classed as "peak time", I've just checked activity on Mazrigos and it doesn't seem too bad. Alliance and horde were about equal so, yes, the alliance numbers were down on what we'd normally expect on Lightbringer (Alliance is normal 2 or 3x horde size on Lightbringer), but because they were fairly equal, it was actually a decent number, considering the time of day.
Alliance: 151
Horde: 147
Bearing in mind Lightbringer at peak time normally has around 150-200 horde online, this will potentially double our numbers :-)
I'll have another check at peak time later.
I've already been busy rolling toons!
So far I made 3 allies and 1 hordie, so that I end up with the even amounts of 8 in each faction. Only been playing the ally Panda for a bit, though, because a) they won't get a makeover anyway, so no need to reroll and pick a new face after the new models roll in, and b) their starter area is separated from everything else, so I can level there without having to fret about missing out on guild perks and larger bags and whatnot.
edit: crap, I miscalculated - only 7 allies and 8 hordies. I'll need to ponder this some more... *trots off*
