Thankyou for the quick response. I think perhaps ill just wait until they introduce it properly again. The website is under a lot of changes at the moment by myself so ill keep an eye on those topics you posted, hopefully they will bring it together.

Thanks again for you support, all the best for your guilds progress.

You can, as a half-way-house, use Group Calender to create an export - which you can then use to import into another bit of calendar software such as Google Calendars. Google Calendars allows you to embed their calendar into another website, which I have done as an example under our Calendar heading.

To do this, you need to create a new section in the admin panel, edit the new page, go into HTML mode and paste the code given by Google.

It isn't anywhere near perfect - it doesn't look brilliant and it only shows the events, not who has signed up for them. It also requires a complicated method of copying data from the export section of the addon in-game manually, pasting it into something like Notepad, saving "as" an .ical document, then visiting the Google calendar page and importing it into there. Each time.

There may be better calendar packages out there that are specifically created with WoW in mind, which would perhaps allow importing of more data, but I don't have time to go search, at the moment :-)

Hey, thanks for your message - glad you like the site wink It is still a work in progress (and probably always will be tongue out ) - I need to really sort out the background when I have time, as on some resolutions it doesn't show right.

Anyway, the main problem with incorporating the type of calendar we're after is that Blizzard don't currently allow it. It requires a code or link from themselves, in order for it to be pulled to other sites - which they used to have, but since the Armories changed last year, they removed it. It has been asked for again on the Blizzard forums, but there has been no response.

I have posted a new request on their forums today, so we'll see what happens:

http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/3389171099?page=1#0

I had mentioned it a while ago on the guildlaunch forums too:

http://support.guildlaunch.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6789884&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0&gid=535

Perhaps it's time to revisit it tongue out

We (or some of us anyway) use an addon calendar in-game called Group Calendar - I seem to recall it has the ability to let you export the calendar data in iCal format for use on other websites - in theory it would be possible to either use the Guildlaunch calendar, assuming it has an import option (I'll have to test it), or possibly incorporate an external widget - however, I'm more of the "lets see what interesting stuff other people have made" type of website builder, rather than the "make it myself" - so I'd need at least a basis of a widget to cobble it onto tongue out

This method would, in theory, work - but it would require the admin of the website to also run the addon in game, and to regularly upload the data into the widget (probably daily). Which, as far as I know, would have to be done manually each time.

Hi ive recently descovered your site and also well done for an awesome job! looks great and well organised. Was wondering myself as ive reasearched into this calendar widget/synchronisation. and it doesn't seem to be happening. perhaps someone of your tech knowledge would know of any 'recent' news on the subject?

Our guild is currently alliance 'Da Darkside'(lame name but unfortunately never got a chance to change it due to a GM leaver)

Would greatly appreciate feedback on the caledar issue with sync
