Rift Beta

If anyone is interested in trying out Rift, a new MMORPG due to launch in March, I have one Beta key to give away. I'm not sure how many more Beta events there will be, but I have just been notified of one starting now.
If you are interested, reply to this post - first come, first served

Gratz Biggy for being first .. check your PM's for the key code. If I get any more, I'll let you know, but it looks like they may be closing it shortly - especially bearing in mind it is due to release in the next couple of months.

I have to agree with you Jol - I thought the graphics were rather dull too. I think that may have something to do with the storyline in some way - going back into the past to try to stop the end of the world and the invasion of nasties through rips in space is probably fairly depressing! Um .. possibly as depressing as a giant fire breathing god-like dragon ripping the world apart causing the very elements to rebel!
Some of the graphics were comparable in their own way, and spell effects were cool - I also liked the idea of being able to choose three completely different talent trees to combine but I suspect that, at some point, there will be "optimum" talent tree combinations and suddenly there won't seem to be any more choice than we have in WoW.
Other ideas that were rather cool included the ability to move anything on the screen ... you could change the location of the map, the buffs, the icons, the spells and the local world events which auto-invited you into the group when you were close enough - no more people spamming chat asking for an invite.
I suspect Blizzard may be keeping an eye on these types of things - possibly working them into WoW at some time in the future.
For me, logging back into WoW after playing Rift felt more "cheerful"
