Guild Tidy for BfA
For information, I will be away next week (yes, the week the expansion launches!), so if you have any questions or problems during that time, please direct them to the other Officers. If there is something that absolutely needs my attention, they can contact me.
Before then, I'm hoping to get the guild vault tidied up .. if there's anything in there you would like, that you can't currently access, then please ask and we'll try to get it for you, within reason. (Obviously, if you ask for "everything in the last tab" you're not gonna get it :p ).
I will also be attempting to get the roster and website characters fully linked .. so please ensure that all of your alts in-game are tagged as such in the public notes. If any aren't, due to the changes in the guild admin UI recently, only officers can update, so please ask one of us to do so.
I will also be clearing out the Werewolf rank .. placing characters from that rank back into the Wolf/Wolf alt ranks. This is in preparation for the new raids in BfA. As you know, the Werewolf rank is reserved for those who have reached the Wolf/Wolf Alt rank and are regular raiders. So once we start raiding again, it will become repopulated with those who fit that description.
Finally, I will, if I have time, be removing inactive members from the guild. This means it is especially important that your alts are linked to you .. as if they've not been online for a while, I may well think they're an individual that has stopped playing, and remove them (whereas if they have a link to other characters, I check ALL linked characters for most recent activity). Generally I will look at removing any member who has not been online within the past 6 months (other than those in the MiA rank, who get longer), unless they have a note stating a date they will be back (that we've not yet reached!).

Please note that, as part of the process of getting characters linked correctly to members on the website, inevitably I've found some members of the website who are no longer members of the guild. I've therefore removed their membership of the site.
Having said that .. although I do try to make all the checks - ensure they have no other characters still in the guild, etc, some may well still get removed by accident. So if you're a member of our guild in-game, but suddenly find you cannot fully access the website (other than news and public forums), please let me know and I'll get you reinstated.

Another stage of admin complete .. I've contacted (directly or indirectly) every member of the guild who has characters unlinked on the website (either they're not registered on the website, or their alts aren't linked correctly) - hopefully I'll get most of those soon. Generally those who aren't registered with the website are more likely to be removed for inactivity sooner (basically because they cause more admin problems).
I've also been through the guild vault tonight .. given away some stuff, put some other stuff on the AH, some just vendors and others rearranged - emptying completely the raider tab. This is in preparation for, imminently, the removal of everyone from the Werewolf rank back down to Wolf/Wolf Alt.
After that, if I have time, I will be removing those who have been inactive - generally the first rank, anything over 3 months, the rest over 6 months, other than MiA where it's over a year or so, depending on how likely I think they will be back.
For removals, I do check all linked alts for activity .. so you don't need to log all alts .. just one per account in guild, as long as they're all linked ;-)

I've now gone through and done the raider rank preparation for BfA .. everyone who was previously in the Werewolf rank is now back at Wolf/Wolf alt rank. Characters will once again be promoted to Werewolf as per our guild rules: http://www.darkwolves.eu/gwiki/index.php?page_name=Raiding_Rules&gid=180473#werewolf
If I have time, I'll try to get the final phase of preparation done, which is removal of inactivate members. Please ensure all your alts are linked to your "main" (it doesn't necessarily have to be the character you're playing as a main, just that they're all linked together using "x alt" in the notes). If you cannot add a note and it needs changing, please let myself or one of the officers know. If you invited someone into the guild and were unable to add a note, please let us know.
